Time patch for Navigate! '04.26
Short instructions for Ti-83 (non plus or Se)

This zip file is only available with an English description, users of the Dutch version of Navigate! '04.26 can also use this patch, it's language independent.

What's a time patch?
It is for the use of the star sight and star find program.
The data for the stars have to be renewed for each year.

What does it do?
Time patch replaces the data for the stars to Navigate!
Time patch replaces the start screen.

Why a replacement of the start screen?
The version number of Navigate! shows the year for the stars, the first two numbers.
It also shows the version number of the total program, the last two numbers.
e.g. '05.26 means star data for the year 2005 and Navigate! build 26.

How to use?
First load the English or Dutch version of Navigate! with the .83g extension to your calculator.
Second load the time patch group file of the year you want to use. Choose for "overwrite all" when asked.

If you start up the program you can see if the right year is in at the version number.

Can I use more years in a Ti-83?
No, you need a Ti-83plus or Se for that. These machines have an extra memory function. If the Star program is of big interest for you, try to find a second hand plus version. In Europe they are available for prices starting at 40 euro. If you sail only in the summer of the northern hemisphere, you won't need it. Just upgrade your Ti in wintertime.

This file will be updated frequently, the additions will be other years.

Now in; the years 2004 and 2005.

These files are an addition to Navigate '04.26. You can't use them as "Stand alone".
The license agreement as written down in the user guide of Navigate '04.26 has to be accepted for the use of Navigate! and these time patches.

Fake bug report! (from Ti-83 users):

If a Ti-83 is loaded with the program Navigate! for the Ti-83 plus version you'll get the message "version conflict".

If directly loaded from a plus to a non plus, the Ti-83 plus should be loaded with the non plus version to work on a Ti-83!

(the extension .83g is for the Ti-83, the extension 8xg is for the Ti-83 plus and Ti-83 Se and Ti 84 plus se.)

All the versions do exactly the same, and work the same. Only the use of lowercase is some different.
